Vitamin D can be obtained through adequate sunlight exposure and certain food.
In Singapore, the recommended dietary allowance (RDA) is 2.5mcg for adults and children above 7 years old. Younger children need more, about 10 to 10.5 mcg per day.

To help your body make enough Vitamin D, try to spend about 5 to 30 minutes outdoors at least twice a week, from 10am to 3pm. However, too much sunlight can lead to sunburn, premature ageing, and potentially skin cancer.
